Autoridades educativas de Tamaulipas realizan gestiones ante la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) con el objetivo de que el idioma inglés sea considerado como segunda lengua e impartido de manera obligatoria en primaria.

Ciudad Victoria, 31 Jul (Notimex).- Autoridades educativas de Tamaulipas realizan gestiones ante la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) con el objetivo de que el idioma inglés sea considerado como segunda lengua e impartido de manera obligatoria en primaria.
El titular de la Secretaría de Educación de Tamaulipas (SET), Joaquín Contreras Cantú, señaló que la dependencia a su cargo será sede de la Reunión de Planeación para la Enseñanza del Inglés.
Esto, a efecto de mantener un diálogo con las autoridades federales sobre las estrategias para introducir este idioma en el próximo ciclo escolar.
Refirió que en la anterior reunión de la titular de la SEP, Josefina Vázquez Mota, realizada en Puebla, se le presentó la propuesta para que el inglés sea considerado como segunda lengua en el Sistema Educativo de México e impartido de manera obligatoria en los seis grados de primaria.
"Por tal motivo, se convocó a las representaciones de los 22 estados de la República, en donde está establecido el idioma inglés en diversos grados del nivel de educación primaria, para que concurran a la reunión de implementación los días 2 y 3 de agosto en esta ciudad capital", indicó.
En esa sesión de trabajo, dijo, se contará con la presencia de José Fernando González Sánchez, subsecretario de Educación Básica de la SEP, y se tratará, entre otros temas, el aspecto relacionado a las orientaciones académicas de las Escuelas de Tiempo Completo de Educación Básica.
También, agregó, se analizará la construcción de lineamientos en la operación de los programas de inglés, mapa curricular, horario, contenido y enfoque de los programas de estudio.
Asimismo, se hablará sobre la articulación con secundaria, formación inicial y la continuación de los maestros en servicio, materiales de apoyo y financiamiento.
Contreras Cantú precisó que la propuesta de Tamaulipas en la obligatoriedad del idioma inglés como segunda lengua en el Sistema Educativo de México tiene su fundamento en la experiencia de Tamaulipas en la materia.
"En ese rubro nuestro estado es pionero y el gobierno de Tamaulipas invierte más de 100 millones de pesos en la atención especializada a 199 mil alumnos, erogación a la cual se suman los más de 12 millones de pesos en diccionarios, cuadernos y material didáctico", detalló.
